The Anne-de-Beaujeu Museum is housed in the Renaissance pavilion built by Anne de France and Pierre de Beaujeu around 1500, which served as the closing structure of the courtyard of the prestigious palace of the Dukes of Bourbon.
The museum’s permanent exhibition features a variety of collections: Egyptology, regional archaeology, the history of the House of Bourbon, medieval and Renaissance sculpture from the Bourbonnais region, 15th- and 16th-century paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts primarily from Germany and the Netherlands, 18th-century decorative arts from Moulins (faience and cutlery), and 19th-century paintings and sculptures.
A temporary exhibition is held every year.
